Valisa has always been the creative type throughout her formative years growing up in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Whether she was designing sandals with her sister using corrugated cardboard, tagboard, staples, glue and glitter at nine years old, or hand-crafting a plastic unicorn in 7th grade shop class, or singing and dancing in her high school musicals, it was inevitable she would end up pursuing a career in the arts. Valisa earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Advertising from Michigan State University. She continued her studies in Atlanta, Georgia at Portfolio Center with an emphasis in Art Direction and Graphic Design. Shortly after graduating, Valisa moved to New York City where she began her career as an Art Director. While working in the advertising industry for a number of years, Valisa has managed to transition into a second career as a Model, Actress and Stunt Woman. Valisa is a SAG-AFTRA member. She is also a member of the New York Film Society. |
